Index and b/w charts and graphs among 295 clean pages. Spine is worn but holding tight. Due to WWII urgencies the Nat'l Research Council recommended a laboratory be established to cover the fundamentals of submarine warfare.  San Diego was chosen and worked with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Inst. and Navy vessels.
