Black cloth boards, 14x8.5" with The Navigation Work Book in faded yellow print. Stained and chipped paper label directly below that. Hand written records dated 1943. Binding tight, columned pages with handwriting (ink) on the opening pg., titled The Workbook and Forms for Sights, detailing the techniques and instruments used in maritime navigation. Page headings include Napier's Rule, Chronometer and Sextant, a.m. Light, Great Circle Sailing, etc. Hand drawn illustrations of cellestial readings. Empty pages between initial notes and actual voyage log in pencil with columns noting date, time, instrument readings - a ship's log. Approximately 25 pages have been written and illustrated by hand. Board tips are worn, light foxing to endpapers. Very good handwriting in a work book in Very Good condition.
