Diploma, University of Maine at Orano, 1944 awarding a Bachelor of Science in Physics degree. Parchment i.e., “sheepskin” diploma,(19.5 x 14.5”) featuring golden seal of the University of Maine. Calligraphy printed text and handwritten name of graduate (partially covered for privacy). Signatures of President Arthur Hauck and Physics Prof. Clarence E. Bennett. "President Hauck led the University in the aftermath of the Depression and the difficult years of World War II. Fourteen major buildings were constructed during his tenure, including the Folger Library in 1941. Military stories of alumni and historical records are preserved in the Folger Library Special Collections."  "Ephemera" in Very Good condition. BTW for collectors of Stephen King, he graduated here in 1977….
