First edition octavo w/dj and price printed on jacket flap $5.95 Inscribed by author to U.S. tycoon Richard Ader. Mapped endpapers and dj maritime image by John O'Hara Cosgrave. Minimal edgewear to dj, red dye top and 434 pages. This copy is a trade first edition despite "BOMC mention" on the bottom of interior flap. The printed $5.95 price and lack of any book club "markers" make it clear that publishers are using the jacket to cross-promote the BOMC series.
