Lynd Ward is considered the grand daddy of graphic novelists. This treasure was published by Cape & Smith in 1930 and measures 6x8" with illustrated boards and a paper title on spine, no dust jacket. Interior is bright and tight. There is a label scar top right corner on front cover and the spine label is chipped and scuffed (see photos). Foredge bottom corner is worn on the cover and both the spine head and tail are chipped. Previous owner's name and the date 1930 written in pen on fep.  This is Ward's first of several novels featuring his visual narratives.
