Red cloth boards (33x25mm) with gold geometric designs. Fleur Cowles editor and published by Cowles Magazines 1952. Signed by Cowles to previous owner. Rectangular dye-cut window below white lettered title. Illustrated pastedowns with multi-colored bird and butterfly images containing text. Federico Pallavicini design layout with his pen/ink illustrations, die-cut windows and odd sized pages, flaps and fold outs among 229 pages. Featured illustrators include Saul Steinberg, Rufino Tamayo and Dali as well as unique stories and essays. Minor edgewear from shelving and spine head and tail are frayed. This is the only "Annual" for the short lived magazine which proved too expensive to produce due to the unique design elements. Near Fine condition.
