1900s Ledger

Pebbled green cloth boards 12" x 17" with "D.E. Ledger" in center of  board. Edges scuffed and "Jan. '27-Dec'31" written in black marker at the top as well as spine. Handwritten monthly expenses recorded starting in 1927,  utility payments, Montgomery Ward record for a mattress ($20), Piano tuner, $3.50  etc.  Several references to Cape May, NJ.  Front and rear endpapers have printed ads for domestic postal instruction, poisons/antidotes and other statutes. Alphabetical thumb index, entries written in pencil as well as pen - very legible. See photos - EPHEMERA
