Geographical Survey of New Jersey, Julius Bien publisher, 1888, thus 2nd edition. George H. Cook state geologist, double elephant folio (27" x 19"). Minor foxing, head of spine is chipped and gilt title faded (see photo), only the endsheets are creased, several closed tears. Previous owner bookplate on pastedown and book binder ticket, exterior tips scuffed and worn. Topographer, C.Clarkson Vermeule headed this first topographical survey of New Jersey. The atlas is unpaginated with18 color tinted, double page lithographic maps. Relief Map of the State of NewJersey completes the atlas images preceeded by Cape May survey.
